The Shire of al-Sahid is summoning all gentles of the Kingdom of Caid to pray attend and defend the Northeastern trade route!  Highland War is upon us again.  Join us in battle and merriment.

            There will be:

·       War Scenarios, Heavies Tourney, Torchlight Tourney

·       Rapier Tourneys, Archery, Thrown Weapons

·       Dog Coursing, A&S Classes and Competitions

·       Brewing Competitions & Iron Chef Competition

·       Youth Activities and Combat

·       Shopping, revelry and much, much more

There is a special emphasis this year:

Best Period Group Encampment & Best Period Personal Encampment.   

Site Location: Schmidt Park , 13576 Mustang Road , Victorville , CA 92395  

Site Opens: noon , Friday August 29
Site Closes: noon , Monday September 1

Site Fees: (All Children 0-12: FREE)

Standard Directions: 

North on Interstate 15 towards Victorville, merge onto State Route 395, turn east onto Air Expressway and travel to George Blvd. turn north into the old air base.  Follow the road to the Schmidt Park , which will be on the left side of the street.

NOTE: There is a lot of construction in and around the area, please check the website for the most up to date instructions.  

    ROAD CONSTRUCTION ON THE WAY TO HIGHLAND WAR

Construction Directions

Air Expressway Road, from National Trails Highway to Village Drive is
closed due to construction. So those of you who take I-15 to
Victorville "D" Street to National Trails, to Air Expressway…. That
way is blocked.

There has been a lot of commercial construction within the old George
Air Force Base (now Southern California Logistics Airport or "SCLA"),
and George Blvd no longer connects to Phantom West, the main entrance
into the airport.

Therefore, the best way is to take Highway 395 to Air Expressway, head
east on Air Expressway about 2.75 miles to George Blvd (4th signal),
and turn left into the base.
